Why don’t you give yourself a break?
You’re not the only girl that the boy mislead.
You’re not the first girl to make a mistake.
Your lust for the boy flowed like an overbearing lake.
Now you wish he was dead.
Why don’t you give yourself a break?
The boy’s lies squeezed your heart like a snake.
Now it hurts to say his name, so you call him “dickhead”.
You’re not the first girl to make a mistake.
Your man’s heart did ache
When he saw you lying with the boy in bed.
Why don’t you give yourself a break?
You regret the affair in which you did partake.
You were forgiven after you pled.
You’re not the first girl to make a mistake.
Just the thought of the boy makes you shake.
Several years later, you still can’t get his image to slither out of your head.
Why don’t you give yourself a break?
You’re not the first girl to make a mistake
