A once idyllic love

I can see it, love I can see a great sencerity to it, I can see the passion, Of a thousand lovers, In one gentle kiss. I can see the romance, Of a thousand moonlit picnics, In one soft touch. So love I feel the power, I feel it tugging at me, At the core of my excistance, At the core of me. Although I can see love, I can no longer feel it, My love, my world, has caved. My very being has been reduced, To nothingness. I cry a flood of tears, Into my pillow each night, I miss you, my heart no more content, I miss your warmth, And I visit you each day, I lie in the dirt over your grave, Just to feel closer to you, I am not here any more, My soul extinguished along with your life. I lost you to a drunk, I lost myself to a drunk. I place a lily over your grave each day, To symbolise our love, I feel lost and lonely, But I know you are gone, Although it pains me to say it. I miss you, my love, And although we were only young, I felt that together we would stand, And our love was iravocable, As we were intertwined. But you were taken from me, And nothing will dim your memory, Even though you have left me, I am no longer part of humanity!
