I know, but hope it's not a dream,
even though real it does seem,
for you to be next to me,
no, it can't be real, just my fantasy,
but the perfection of you just standing there,
even though it's not real, my heart won't prepare,
you cuddle me and kiss my cheek,
I look into your eyes for the love I seek,
You give me a huge smile and hold my hand,
then you kiss me and pull me to where you stand,
you lower down your head and whisper in my ear,
I love you, I love you, I am so glad you are here.
My fear is then deemed true as my alarm clock rings,
and back into reality, me it does bring,
I sit up in bed and tears flow down my face,
I walk into the bathroom, the mirror shows I’m a disgrace,
then into the glass I do further stare,
was it a beautiful dream or a nightmare?
