Diseased Lie

Poetry By: Shea Ryhai

What is History? What is truth? Over centuries kindoms and countries have waged war, expanded or been overthrown. Does not the victor tell his story to be repeated in history. Is a tyrant always right? What is reality? Be careful what you believe.

Diseased Lie

by SheaRyhai

Breathing down and empty page,

worn over by use and age.

Collected words all make no sense,

drawn from present to pretense.

Feels pain like an empty heart,

parading lies each steal a part.

History written to fade in time,

we all lie when we say we're fine.

Blank page holds truth most clear,

what isn't known is always feared.

Why suffer to uphold what's right?

Accept the lie without a fight.

Rip out the page on Holocaust,

another truth will soon be lost.

A country born to set men free,

now enslaves men through Liberty.

New editions replace the tattered old,

the dumb believe each word their told.

A pill to numb the conscious please,

the soul erodes through self disease.

Burry shame with strength of might,

power corrupted stains the light.

Promising Change all for your good,

another lie misunderstood...
