The La La Game

I always laugh when I reach this box, mostly I guess cause I want the people who read the poem to figure out the message "by reading it". This is an important one.

The La La Game

by Shea Ryhai © 2010

I don't need to be defined

by the one who holds my hand.

It's okay if you close your mind,

don't need you to understand.

La la la la la la la,

playing with sticks and stones.

La la la la la la la,

you can play it all alone...

The glass is clear to see through

till you covered it with dirt.

I might cry through to reach you,

but you don't care who you hurt.

La la la la la la la,

playing with sticks and stones.

La la la la la la la,

you can play it all alone...

Take my page and light a match,

I'll stand back and watch it burn.

This heart you'll never scratch,

and my respect won't be returned.

These Words will never hurt me..

though sticks and stones might bruise.

But those words define you not me,

that's why its a game you'll lose...

La la la la la la,

playing with sticks and stones.

La la la la la la,

you can play it all alone...
