Beaten and broken tired and sore,
she brings her ship home searching no more.
Her journey for now, is over it seems;
hopes have been shattered and so have her dreams.
The one that she longs for, impossible to find;
she knows he is out there can see him in her mind.
She lays her head down on her pillow and sighs;
closes her eyes and silently cries.
Finally sleep comes and she sees him once more;
standing there waiting on that faraway shore.
In the morning it is clearer, hope where there was none;
and she knows now for certain her work is not done.
Time to set sail once more for that distant shore;
ready to try again this time she will find him for sure.
