Time for Thinking

Pulling my jacket a little bit closer

as I walk out the door.

Already the wind seems to cut right through

and chills me instantly.

The sky is wonderfully clear tonight

and the stars are putting on a show.

They are sparkling and dancing

as if to say, hi, so good to see you.

The moon is so bright, lighting the way

down this narrow little path.

The air is clean and crisp

and as I take a deep breath in,  my mind starts to clear.

Gone are the sounds and noises of the day;

all the annoying distractions.

Now it is alone time;

blissfull silence surrounds me.

So much easier to think here;

all that seemed insurmountable before suddenly simple.

Just needed to leave it all behind;

take a nice long walk and think.
