Surviving the Winter

Poetry By: ShortandSweet

A short sonnet about the two elements, fire and ice.

I am the queen of the cold,

Master of frozen stares and icy glances,

No matter that my heart is of gold,

I am the queen of uninviting stances,

And he, the king of fire,

Burdened with a warm smile and warm eyes,

Must control his burning desire,

For the ice queen with her head in the sky

The ice queen and fire king,

Though they are forced apart,

By their elements gentle sting,

They have swiftly traded hearts.

I'll have yours and you have mine,

And we'll make it through the cold just fine.
