I hate the sky today

I was trying to sleep and then I got up with these lines and thoughts- on November 30th, 2009

I woke up hating the sky,

with its deep blue scarring

drenched in white bandages.

I knew the nickname of every cloud

that passedme by,on its way to someone better.

I crouched underneath my covers

waiting for miracles to grow

their immaculate faces,

but they never came-

or they wore masks and drifted

by me, as I slid in and out of

this strange coma-like state-

with eyes that pulled their lids down

in the smallest sight of the sun.

When it is time to read the daylight

snoring will resume-

the windows start crashing

like shooting stars,

and I forget to bloom

Or I have bloomed

but, in a distorted sort of way.

The absurdities are always there

in front of me,

and I let them have their say.

The nights stubborn speech

slants its dirty fingers at me,

as I lie in bed waiting

for the next thought-

I can only hope for its wings

to be stronger and cleaner,

And not to be torn apart
