Three little words,

So simple,

So true,

What and where would I be without you?

I believed it when I was young once,

How long ago that seemed to be,

When we were all so innocent,

So wild,

So free.

When we all became neither adults nor children,

Was when I ceased to believe.

Before I met you,

Was when my innocence was raptured at once,

Slashed at by life,

Kicked and killed by what made us alive.

He left after a month,

He left after two,

Then you came along,

But I hid my heart from your view.

I built up my walls,

Stronger than ever,

Burnt all the bridges,

That led to any connections.

But still,

You pushed through.

You brought down my walls,

Brick by brick.

Saw me like no other ever did.

Built a boat,

And crossed the ocean.

Survived every storm I placed you under.

Now here you are,

Ready and waiting,

So determined and true.

You stole my heart away.

Yeap it's true.

I never knew that you would be the one,

To unlock the cage,

Where I placed my heart.

To clear all the darkness away with your sun.

You were the sun,

I was the moon,

Different but when combined,

And now at last,

My secret revealed,

You'll never know this,

I Love You.
