In A Blink of An Eye
Shooting stars dart
Across the midnight sky
Just for fun, I make a wish
But I have everything by my side
A sovereign Lord
A supportive, faithful wife
A life that's prosperous
A job that's fair
Frigid breezes whisper through my hair
I give the stars
A stupefied stare
The Big Dipper smiles
The North Star winks
Reminding me
It's only just a blink
Of an eye
In my life
Until one holy night
I finally take flight
Halley's comet holds
The galaxies tight
Through Earth's
Spinning, spiraling, waltzing plight
I wish the Milky Way
Good luck and I tuck
The fleece to my chin
Moaning softly as a buck
The shining, silvery Moon
Kisses me goodnight
And his man sprinkles my eyes
With slumbering sand
I shut my eyes, smiling
In a blink of an eye
I'll take flight
Send the stars in the sky
My love and say goodbye
