You're the dream I never thought I'd meet,
A wish granted, but not fully, close to real,
The things my heart and mind display are not complete,
Wishing not to wake from or find less than I feel.

You don't want me to love you, hard not to, you see,
The way you are, small as it is, I can't just let you go,
Can't walk away knowing you're all I dreampt for me.
Without being allowed to try or say, what we both know.

You are all I dream and more than I thought,
The way you are, I can't help but to want you,
Not just lust nor bliss, but the one I've sought,
It's hard not to love though you say not to.

You've been what I thought I'd not find, Ever,
All I couldn't see in anyone else and more,
Just to wish and pray, not expecting no forever,
Though knowing this, I haven't and won't close the door.

i'd love you forever if you'd let me be all you need,
For "It is what it is" could surely proceed.
