in this poem i am taking a lighhearted pop at myself and my inability to diet or accept me as i am. maybe one day......

Another Diet?
Weight Watchers, Atkins
I’ve tried them all
At 5Foot 2inches
I’m not very tall
I try not to eat
Too much each day
Why won’t the weight come off
To the scales I say
A bar of chocolate
I’ll just have one
No lunch today
I’ll have to starve
It still won’t shift
I’ll try something new
The latest fad diet
That’s what I’ll do!
Breakfast a Shake
Lots of water
By Eleven I’m hungry
A lamb to the slaughter
I see the chocolate
And again I’m lost
I’ll start tomorrow
Some more toast?
Just one slice with butter
That’s all I’ll have
No dinner for me
I’ll have to starve!
I know the answer
I’ll just stop dieting
This is me
The way I am
Like me or hate me
I just don’t care
I cannot diet
It’s really not fair
I want to be thin
I want to be fit
But I’m just me
So that is it!

A wonderful and funny poem Snow, all the pressure to be a size 10 women have these days..... Why cant people just accept the different shapes and rejoyce in them ?
Mind you Im 6 ft 2 and slim but still Im not happy with my body probably never will be.
People are different shapes and sizes and thats what makes life interesting.

This poem is for me , i'm sure of it ! I have made diet but it doens't work at all , i'm agree with be happy being just you. Nice! I'll try lose some quilos.

Oh boy, Snow... have you opened a can of worms!!!! Maybe we should come up with a "Booksie Diet" poem so that all of us that want to can lose some weight!! A humorous, 'poke fun at yourself' piece that works!.....Jerry

Ahh! The story of my life! I loved the part about a lamb to the slaughter. I know the feeling all too well! This was a really fun poem!
