I Won’t....
I won’t leave you drowning
In your tears and despair
I won’t let you go
Please don’t let me go either
We must hold on together
And hold on real tight
Our love must bind us together
For this dark, painful fight
If our love cannot hold us
Then what do we have
No good times to look back on
Nor forward plans to make
We must be strong together
For without you I am nothing
Fight your demons together we will
And beat them we will
But know that hurtful words can do much harm
When no thought as to their audience
Take care what you say to me
For I am the one that is always there
I hurt more easily than you think
And only so much can I take
Be understanding of my ignorance
As I struggle to understand
I don’t know what I’m dealing with
BUT
I will help with your demons, always
I won’t let you drown in your despair
I won’t let you fight them alone
