Lonlieness
Alone in this cold harsh room
I sit and stare at my reflection
I see that spot I’ve been trying not to pick
I see big dark eyes from lack of sleep
I see the bed freshly made supposed to be inviting
Too big for just me but you’re not here
The lonlieness so palpable I can almost touch it
Lonlieness enveloping me it’s cold shade of blue
Pulling me into its dark depressing void
But you’re not here to keep me company
I don’t like being away from you
I look out of the window at the darkness
I don’t feel comforted by the warm glow inside
I’m lonely, so lonely, longing for you
To put your arms around me and love me
Words cannot express the emptiness I feel
Without you close I am only half a person
Only half a heart beating in my chest
Your love makes me whole, makes me secure
No comfort to be found except in your arms
Until I am home again and wrapped up in your arms
I miss you, I am so lonely
