Men Like Gossip!

Men like to hear the gossip

I know this much is true

My Best Friend won’t admit it

But he likes to know what’s new!

I phone you, you’re not there

I only want a natter

You’re not there, where are you

To listen to my chatter!

I didn’t want anything particular

Just to hear your voice today

I’ve missed you not being there

Hope your enjoying your holiday

I wanted just to talk to you

To update you on the chat

I miss your fun off the wall views

They are very funny, you can be such a Cat!

I think I may come visit you

To tell you all the juice

I think you will enjoy the goss

You can let your inner cat loose!

I miss you in the office

It’s so dull without you here

I’m glad it’s not too long

Before you’re back there in my hair!

They say women gossip

But men are really bad

You like to know the latest

It makes me really glad!

Each day you listen gleefully

To everything that’s said

You have a fun view of gossip

You make me laugh instead!

You do not take it seriously

To you its all just fun

There is no badness in you

You’re a friend to everyone!

All the women come and talk to you

They love to hear your view

You look at thing differently

Your ideas are all askew!

I hope you enjoy your break love

And miss me just a bit

I look forward to our gossips

You really are a Hit!!

HA! It sounds like you two have a blast together. You're right though. The biggest gossip in my office is the solitary man. He probably thinks it's our fault. This was fun.

lacey. glad you liked my poem. you are right we have an absolute blast. we spend more time laughing than working and still produce more than the rest of the team. the time he is on holiday is going to be very quiet for me.

thanks boney. BooBoo is the best friend i could ever have wished for and his warped views make me laugh so much some days that i cannot do any work. luckily for us the boss sits at the other end of the office. probably away from us. i think we drive him mad but we dont care.

This is entertaining Snow, I enjoyed. But in all honesty I am not a gossip guy. And not being sexist, but isn't that more of a female characteristic? On the other hand, I went to Storm cinema here in Naas on sunday with a woman friend to see The Accidental Husband, a complete chickflick, but I did enjoy it all the same. So to summarise, I don't do gossip but I can enjoy a good chick flick. Where do I draw the line? Great poem Snow!! 27 thumbs up!!

eric. i believe you are not a gossip guy. glad you enjoyed my poem though. i have to agree with you women do seem to like gossip more than men, but why is it when you look round theres usually a man hanging round on some pretext or other.
