There's A Storm Coming!

The wind is rising rapidly
I see the dark clouds coming
Flying through the bright blue sky
There’s a storm coming tonight

Where there was blue sky
Are now grey and black clouds
I do not like them very much
I hate the storm that’s coming

The thunder claps loudly
The lightening rips across the sky
To near to me for comfort
I need to go and hide

Or can I conquer this fear in me
That has me under my desk
I need to try, I’ll watch the sky
And see what happens to me

The thunder rumbles above my head
And I see the bolt of lightening
I watch the rain bounce off the ground
And the people getting soaked

I still feel the fear inside me
As I watch this tumultuous show
But now I’m mesmerised and petrified
By the colours of the storm

The bright white streaking through the sky
The beautiful shade of purple that surrounds these streaks
And the shade of green and grey clouds
All coming together at once

Over the horizon I see a touch of blue
The wind is blowing it toward me
I know this storm is nearly gone
I’m almost sad to see it go

But with the blue sky comes the rainbow
And its beautiful colourful hues
The sun is following close behind
And the world feels renewed

Another good one Snow. You can feel the storm coming in. It also occured to me that it could be a metaphor for some deeper emotions. Nice job.

thanks yet again buttercup. i never thought about the deeper emotions but you could be right. i actually like that idea.

This was really pretty. I could feel the tension from the storm. Are you normally scared of storms? I have a very healthy respect for them myself. I love them from a little distance. - Rose @~
