This Distance
This distance between us
Like the empty chasm in my heart
Come back to me sweet lover
Bridge the chasm, make me whole
Too long have I been alone
Missing your gentle smile, your loving touch
Your laughter that fills my heart
How much longer must we be apart?
I don’t know how much more I can bear
My heart slowly dying inside me
Without you to hold me close
Come back to me sweet darling very soon
I wish this on our Northern Star
And the beautiful bright moon
