Fallacious Misfit Smile

Poetry By: Snowflake7

Lying to those close to you is never the best choice.

My life is a personification,

the lies lead a life of their own.

The happiness is imitative

so I inebriate the pain

knowing you can't distinguish me

from the fluid lies

and my fallacious smile.

My smile is a metaphor,

and my dull eyes are an analogy

to the emptiness within.

It would be such a shame

to waste a smile like yours,

I won't let you down

for my smile is your simile.

I can't have you give up on me,

there's still a chance for my fallacy

maybe this misfit smile

will find a home

and stay awhile.
