My engine carries me
A destination unknown looms
Ever farther on the horizon
Each sight I set my eyes upon
Devoured by my mind
In turn
Thoughts, ideas and emotion
Exhaled from my lips
I find the day has been replaced
By a simple need for sleep when it is found
The sun moves slowly
my engine carries me
Alien in a foreign land
Strange faces and minds
Pressing in
Searching for more
Searching for truth
Finding none
So many thin paper dolls
Flapping, blowing with the wind.
A desire to be fulfilled
Rising like a wave of heat
There is nothing to say
When nothing can be heard
There is a thinness to this world
An avalanche of need
Not born of necessity
In desperation consuming anything
Searching for something
Unknown unnamed
Forgotten
Not lost
Though not wanting to be saved
Forever searching
Truth is found in every piece of life
In every flowers petal
Every drop of rain
Moving slowly
My engine carries me
…slowly
