The Siren's Song

Poetry By: solafidas
Poetry

Just a poem, about events that changed who i am, though that is an ongoing debate... i dont remember wo i was:)
something about experimenting with substances, turning into substance abuse... inevitably ending in loss, beit of the mind or of those around you. If you read, let me know what you thought.

Follow me into this place

Dark as night can come

Swallow down that little round

And bleed your brain for me

-

Just close your eyes

Open your mind

Shut out the angel's voice

Take my hand

I'll hold it tight

Ill never let it go

-

Truth is fleeting Butterflies

Dancing in your eyes

Come the morning

Come the day

Come the blinding lies

-

darkness like a blanket covers

buries all the rust

a veil pulled back

reveals us as we were meant to be

no angst no pain

no thoughts of gain

hands we held in trust

-

Like a wheel Like the pain

Back to me again

Searching for that truth to find

Keys to free our minds

Open now we're elevated

To another place

Where truth is found

Though temporary

Lost in our disgrace

-

Truth is fleeting Butterflies

Dancing in your eyes

Come the morning

Come the day

Come the blinding lies

-

The keys came at a cost my friends

Though friends we are no more

Something you'll never see again

Never seen before

An exquisite taste of all that was

To come, that was in store

No turning back

we've seen the truth

Though lost it with our minds
