There in the Light: The Caged Bird

Poetry By: SolaWolf

During the days the caged bird sings, wishing to be the free spirit it longs to be.
During the night, the hungry eyes will watch the caged soul, and set it free.

Sometimes we hope for things that we think will never come, but really, they just happen differently than exspected.

There in the light, the caged bird sings

Looking to the sky, spreads its' wings

There in the darkness, the eyes are waiting

Watching, hungrily debating

There the next morning, the feathers fly

The eyes that bite, the bird will die

There in the light, the caged bird is free

Spirit singing, happy as can be

There in the darkness, the eyes look to the sky

Smiling to the spirit of the free bird, waves goodbye.
