They say
Apples live near the tree
Even if they fall so far
They don’t fall far enough
To differ and depart
The distance doesn’t let them go
Even when the wind sends drama
And the tree branches shiver
She belongs where she does
The roots are deep in the ground
Just as the colour of her skin
Is the deepest red
With the boldest bond
And shine
Of feuding love
To choose to go
When god sent her equal
May cause her grief
Jus as her father’s heart may ache
Or may it not?
When she leaves this culture
To embrace another
When she leaves this land
Hand in hand
With a choice of her own
Why is wrong?
Would you ask an ape?
Where his daughter is?
With whom she is
Or where perhaps?
Even if happiness be there?
Even animals move away
Move on
With their same self’s
With their pair
Naturally
Just as Noah’s ark
Had taken them
Two by two
A mate for a mate
From a slippery snake
And its slime
Right down to a snail
It is the law of nature
And the law of reality
Everything appears in pairs
One is not without the other
Firewood is with ash
As is sand is to sea
And salt is to pepper
And ale is to glass
Courtship has no limits
No boundaries or rules
As for his pains and doubts
There is no cure
Except to accept
The fine agreement
With a happy heart
To take it
A slice of the truth
To swallow it
A sum of sweet sugar
To finally let go of the tightrope
He made her walk
For so long
