An Unborn Dream

Poetry By: soulcandygal

okay. i was really down when i wrote this, kinda 'denying' life at that time... just came up with it one evening whilst thinking about what more i was yet to live through.

An Unborn Dream
Numb and hidden away
Deep within the recesses of the mind
Are dreams, once so full of life...
Now waiting in the darkness
To be snuff out like a beacon
And die with ultimate sorrow.
Oh, so crushed and broken
Yesterdays and todays merged into one
A long, unending, recurring dry spell
Sucking out life, suffocating and crushing.
The spirit is battered and I go insane
Cry, beg, plead for all these to end.
Aspirations, Intentions, Decisions-
All aborted in a flash
The world comes to an end...
My world, breaks up into a thousand pieces-
And all I'm able to do is fall on my knees
Gather the pieces and hold them close...to a bleeding heart.
