Invisible Tears.
No one understands.
No one can.
Sure they try, but don’t get it.
I am not complaining.
I am not even criticizing.
I just want to let it out, that’s all.
The person who smiles at you every morn
Cries secretly wishing for an escape
For they find hope in your eyes.
The kid who annoys you to no end,
Gets no love at home
You lift that little guy’s spirits without even realizing.
The grumpy old man who never talks
Is lonely and wishes for company
Perhaps one day you could spare five minutes to smile.
Every time you are tempted to scream
Cry, break or hurt yourself
Your guardian angel cries.
Won’t you give life a second chance?
Won’t you try to smile again?
Won’t you just, for once, forgive yourself?
