A feeling that’s very familiar
No stranger you are to this
And you dread it since it’s happening… again.
Let me go, you plead to deaf ears
The sheer helplessness leaving you drained.
You know there’s light coming,
But you can’t see it yet, the delay oppresses your already tired soul.
Maybe it’s not really happening,
Maybe I’m over-reacting-
Maybe I’ll wake up soon,
Maybe, someday, it will actually end.
A ship without a compass on troubled waters
The different directions make it all awry
A shroud covering your vision and foresight
You don’t struggle anymore because you think its better this way.
You wait in the darkness for a pinprick of light
You see one and know its coming for you.
It’s not the end yet, you sigh again-
And the amazing brilliance pulls you through your familiar abyss.
