The black rose in the heaven’s garden of white
Spreads its petals wide as it wants to fly
A brilliant tear in its eye caused by the burning pain inside
Reflecting the blood-red gloaming of the broken pride
Dreaming, crestfallen, so awake under pinion of the night
It’s floating away into kingdom of the stars-eternal light
Travelling so far waiting for the dawn
The lonely pearl at the dawn becomes the sunrise’s spawn
Longing so much to turn
In all its longing to burn
The black rose in the garden of white
Spreads its petals wide as it wants to fly
Sadness in the bloom, the stellar firmament of gloom
The sunset-woe, the tears of the white dawn
Dreaming of the beauty the floweret weak
From all its sadness its hopes speak:
“Forever scorn just remains to dwell
At the bottom of the tomorrow’s well”
