A NEW BEGINNING
It's right in front of me
a new beginning
or a big hangover
maybe both
I light a cigarette
empty pages
empty canvas
colors & pencil.
I played the trombone
I put it right in front of me
what a beauty.
The first zip
and Johnny walks right
down my throat.
Another zip &
I can hear him in my stomach
I would love to hear that
trombone now play
but now it's not the time
no sound
only the breathing in & out
of smoke.
I'm ready to Rock'n Roll
