Infinite Ashes

Poetry By: Spe

When a fire burns, it gives birth to ashes. The ashes fall to the ground to then create an immense void of blackess that seems almost eternal.

Infinite Ashes
By: Spe
The fires burn and black ashes ashes spread across the land
Until the whole ground is blanketed like a beach covered in sand
There is only a vast blackness
That is so dim that it looks like a gaping hole of darkness
As one would look over the flat pit, they would be terrified to fall in
Although when I look down, I see nothing and everything within
So I close my eyes and take a step forward only to fall
That smooth void turns into endless vicinity
Then to infinity.
But in the end, there are only ashes.
That's all.
