Tears of Turmoil; Ashes of War
This world we live in is forever dark
And has fallen upon the burned ashes of war
Every struggle leaving an eternal mark
How long until our land can’t take it anymore?
This world is soiled by pollution and affair
Drowned in a debt we can never pay
Most tell me, “Your sweet Jesus doesn’t care.”
Brings tears to my eyes every single day
Tears have shed, and many have seethed
We’re dying of starvation and infection
This world is so filthy, we can’t even breathe.
So cold by the loss of affection
Will someone save us? Does any one see?
This place, our home, our grave
Jesus, do you see the turmoil I see?
To destruction we’ve become a slave.
