I wrote this, and then entered it in a poetry contest for kids. Middle school-high school students. It's about love, a break up poem as you can tell. Let me know what you think?

When you met me I was broken

My heart was crushed

You made me believe you

I trusted everything you said

Most importantly I fell hard for you

You built me back up

Kept playing me along

Had me fooled that you actually cared

When really you didn't

You kept me around until something better happened

You brought me back down worse

I'm more emotionally damaged than ever

Beyond crushed is what I feel

You destroyed my heart worse

Now I have major trust issues, I won't be the same

I learned not to trust ANYBODY now

That they will end up hurting you

Yet I'm stupid because I still love you

You lied and I believed you

All to end it where I'm more damaged
