Find A Way:

No matter how hard I am hit, nor how hard I hit the ground,

No single part of me will wish, for the final bell to sound.

I'll pull myself up to my feet, from off the canvas where I lay.

I'll be there 'til the final round;

By hook, by crook,

I'll find a way.

-

When they ask for volunteers, I'll be the first to raise my hand.

When people think that I cannot, I'll be the first to say "I can".

No matter what I have to do, no matter what I have to say,

To show them who I really am;

By word, by deed,

I'll find a way.

-

When up the mountains I have climbed, and through the forests I have strolled,

And still the end is not in sight, and travel starts to take its toll.

Come Hell, come high water, come disaster, come what may.

I'll persevere and reach my goal;

By any path,

I'll find a way.

-

When the problems that confront me seem impossible to solve,

I'll meet them with commitment and unshakeable resolve.

I'll always be an optimist, not give in to dismay.

However much my task involves;

By any means,

I'll find a way.

-

When I find I have the chance to help another in distress,

I'll put their needs ahead of mine, I won't choose selfishness.

I'll offer to them what I can; I will not ask for pay.

I'll give what little I possess;

By sacrifice,

I'll find a way.

-

When a job is difficult, and my resources number few,

I'll work my fingers to the bone, until I finally see it through.

And if that fails I'll fall down to my knees and start to pray.

Yes I'll do what I've got to do;

By work, by prayer,

I'll find a way.

-

And when finally the sky falls down and comes the judgment day,

And I must watch the downfall of the kingdom I survey,

Then bring back order to a land thrown into disarray…

By hook, by crook,

By word, by deed,

By any path,

By any means,

By sacrifice,

By work, by prayer,

By God; I swear…

...

I'll find a way.
