Swing to Stars

Poetry By: Steve Littlewood
Poetry

It's a poem about our daughter, and a celebration of our love, but it ends with a sad yet beautiful truth...

The path meandered

I couldn’t fly

Thought I came here

Just to die

Now laughing and drugging

Just you and I

(Trippin’ and hugging

God you God I

Laughing and loving

God you God I)

The god of love

In you and I

Made the child,

Our love’s reply

The child is born

The child will fly

(Trippin’ and hugging

God you God I

Laughing and loving

God you God I)

Time will come

The day is nigh

We'll hold her close

And say goodbye

Time will come

The day is nigh

She’ll swing to stars

Wave from night sky

(Trippin’ and hugging

God you God I

Laughing and loving

God you God I)
