Why do you despair
To this degree,
Drowning in the grief
Of the world
As if your empathy
Soothes planetary ills?
You only fracture
The delicate frame
Of your brittle mind.
When you come
Home from the mountain
With no commandments,
Away from the Bodhi tree
Ignoring the pain,
Down from the cross
Wanting to save no-one,
You will see yourself
Stripped of false regard -
A highly intelligent
Point of white light
That’s all,
The essential you -
That is love
And creates love
And evolves love
Across the ages
From the continental drift
To the Reverse Crusades
