If the one that I love leaves this day

I'll try to get by the same old way

by pretending that everything is fine

but it hasn't been, cause they're not mine.

I just live my life from day to day

with a heart adrift and in a haze

while dreaming of them from night to night

for in them I never lose sight.

The only thing that I lose is me

I feel disconnected from reality

while daydreaming of a frozen time

only thawed out by my sunshine.

Now they don't dwell to far away from here

but it's far enough away that it's not near

do we both walk between that thin line

where fantasy and reality intertwine.

How do they make it from day to day

moving through time as if in a maze

where there's no freedom from night to night

searching for the way out with fright.

The only thing that they lose you see

Is feeling disconnected from reality

while daydreaming of a frozen time

only thawed out by their sunshine.
