Because the roses surround an orchid, they believe it to be the ugliest rose, but it isn't true

It was only sown in the wrong flower garden

and now in full bloom its heart has hardened

But it's a beautiful orchid and yet it doesn't know it, for it only sees itself as the roses do.

Has anyone came to the garden and said to you

I can understand the reason why you are blue

You stand alone believing that you're the only one

But you're the prettiest orchid standing there in the sun.

Do they want to dig you up and take you away

and plant you in the right garden, have you heard them say

Or do they leave you alone to suffer so

In a garden of roses so that you'll never know.

You're the prettiest orchid in a garden of roses around you

You believe yourself to be the ugliest rose, but it isn't true

You were only sown in the wrong flower garden

and now in full bloom your heart has hardened

But you're a beautiful orchid and yet you don't know it, for you only see yourself as the roses do.
