There's one sure thing about it and that surely is
we don't know one another in a world such as this
Are we on the night side or are we on the sunny side
or are we on the same side at all.
Sometimes I feel as if I was born on the wrong side
of this little blue ocean beach ball
And just like a monkey hanging from a tree
I'm hanging on to a branch cause I'm scared I will leave.
As we spin around freely in open space
we hope that nothing smacks us right in the face
There's a lot out there to come a tumbling down
while were out here in place a turning around.
Do we crawl or walk and run in to each other
like a chocolate bar mixing with peanut butter
Somehow somewhere right down the line
we're all cousins or family and that is fine.
All placed on this marble that spins around its sun
an amusement park ride but who's all having fun
I don't remember buying any tickets to ride
though someone paid to get us to the other side.
As we spin around freely in open space
we hope that nothing smacks us right in the face
There's a lot out there to come a tumbling down
while were out here in place a turning around.
There's one sure thing about it and that surely is
we'll all know one another in that new world of his
And they'll be no night side for we'll be on the sunny side
and then on the same side there after all.
So take a dip in the water and be born again on the right side
of this little blue ocean beach ball
And just like Nicodemus up in a tree
he's now hanging on to Jesus, no longer scared he will leave.
As we spin around freely in open space
we pray that nothing smacks us right in the face
There's a lot of angels there to come flying down
while were out here a turning our lives around.
