I wish that you thought, a little more about yourself
Just like I do, to save your soul from hell
And as your friend, I think you should know
That lifes to short, near the end of the road
Oh you live your life, and you get your kicks
But getting older, you may regret things you did
But as your friend, I try to help you out
Oh there's times I wonder, what we're all about
There are things I would share with you
To lift you up, when your feeling blue
And as your friend, I want you to succeed
To be somebody better, with or without me
I'm telling you now, that I'm not perfect
I'm more like a puzzle, all the pieces won't fit
But as your friend, this much is true
If I wasn't, I wouldn't care about you
I wish that you thought, a little more about yourself
Just like I do, to save your soul from hell
And as your friend, I think you should know
That lifes to short, at the end of the road
