Sometimes the rain is the only friend I have
to hide the pain of another day gone bad
Sunshine's okay if having fun and you're happy
to be around all your friends that are laughing.
The moon's to bright and won't hide my sorrow
on this starry night, may it be dark tomorrow
Tears streaming down my face like a waterfall
a soul bound, heart slammed up against a wall.
Lightening go strike somewhere else
and thunder, go boom to your self
But rain won't you stay to hide my tears
and help to cover up, all of my fears.
I don't remember the last time I saw you
cause the sun burnt up my grass of blue
It's so hot at night, not good for sleeping
you're so far away, can't see me weeping.
You came last night and poured down around me
while I stood outside and I cried till I screamed
I thought that you had forgotten your old friend
as quick as you came you left me with the wind.
The moon's to bright and won't hide my sorrow
on this starry night, may it be dark tomorrow
Tears streaming down my face like a waterfall
a soul bound, heart slammed up against a wall.
Lightening go strike somewhere else
and thunder, go boom to your self
But rain won't you stay . . .
