On the day that you left

I had to raise the windows

just to catch my breath

for you travel where the wind goes.

The house is standing empty

It'll never be a home

It's dark, and I can't see

now that my light has gone.

It just ain't the same

without you near

I'm going insane

Got to get out of here.

But there's no place to go

and nowhere to hide

when the strong wind blows

Deep down inside.

Now there's nothing left

Not even a window

This house died a death

In a F 5 tearnado.

My heart is so empty

It'll never be your home

No spark, and I can't see

now that my love has gone.

It just isn't the same

even with you near

and I'm going insane

Got to get out of here.

But there's no place to go...
