Dark alleys and dark hearts

they don't see the light of day

No sunshine in these parts

and the moon arose to speed away.

Dark caves and dark souls

lost in the light they don't have

Yeah sunshine's afraid to go

and the moon won't cross their path.

Dark glasses and dark tunnels

are dim with the head lights on

No sunshine just won't funnel

and the moon's way to far gone.

So don't take me wrong

when I'm doing right

But when I'm howling at the moon

it's as dark as night.

Dark ideas from dark minds

to bury what light that we see

Yeah sunshine's hid at times

and the moon's light has broken free.

Dark shadows from dark bodies

escaping the light that might find them

No sunshine for these hotties

and the moonshine's spilled over the rim.

Dark glasses and dark tunnels

are dim with the head lights on

No sunshine just won't funnel

and the moon's way to far gone.

So don't take me wrong

when I'm doing right

But when I'm howling at the moon

it's as dark as night.
