Poem written 01/02/2013 for Future Authors New Years,New Contest.
This poem is about a person that could be the cruel master of him/herself or someone else that feels as if he/she has enslaved them and made them into something that they really aren't. And through it all the master has lost everything, including him/herself!

You take me, then make me, and fake me,

into what you want me to be.

Then you tell me, that you'll sell me,

and the whole wide world will see;

that I'm something that I'm not,

but you won't set me free.

You bar me, then jar me, and mar me,

into what you want, on my knees.

Then you'll show me, that you own me;

there's no one to hear my pleas,

that I'm not what I am,

I've been changed by all your decrees.

I could be your heart,

I could be your mind,

I could be your soul,

I could be that part,

that you left behind,

for the things you don't know.

I'll take you, then make you, and fake you,

into what I want you to be.

Then I'll tell you, that I'll sell you,

and the whole wide world will see;

that you're something that you're not,

but I won't set you free.

I'll bar you, then jar you, and mar you,

into what I want, on your knees.

Then I'll show you, that I own you;

there's no one to hear your pleas,

that you're not what you are,

you've been changed by all my decrees.

You could be my heart,

You could be my mind,

You could be my soul,

You could be that part,

that I left behind,

for the things I don't know.
