Sometimes where you've been can tell where you're going
Sometimes you can't tell at all
Sometimes you've got it on your shoulders and it's showing
Sometimes it's hidden behind a wall.
Sometimes you're able to get there and back
Sometimes you have to yell for help
Sometimes you're on the right train on the wrong track
Sometimes a bad hand is dealt.
Heading off in the sunset just to find the moon
looking for a brite day just to see the gloom
Praying for the Lord to help you out
He said he'd meet you half-way
before carrying you about.
Everyday's what you make it like it wasn't made to start
Everyday's a clean slate to write.
Everyday's a new one to bring blessings to the heart
Everyday's made to reach that height.
Everyday's a chore from getting up to laying down
Everyday's help a friend lent
Everyday's that day to get your feet back on the ground
Everyday's fresh from the mint.
Heading off in the sunset just to find the moon
looking for a brite day just to see the gloom
Praying for the Lord to help us out
He said he'd meet us half-way
before carrying us about.
