Here comes another one, looking in at me
making funny faces, honey come and see
They don't have no food, I can't see a drink
glad for the bars or they'd take ours I think.
They're in all shapes and sizes, great big and small
with all kinds of faces, and honey that ain't all
Look at the way they are looking at me
glad for the bars, I'd hate to see them free.
I'm just a monkey hanging in my tree
and you look kinda scarey looking in at me
I don't come to your house to look at you
so what are you all doing here at the zoo.
Don't get to close or I might bite
I know what your after and I will fight
You are such a fearsome brood
Go out and hunt for your own food.
Every day it's the same old thing
while I'm sitting here trying to sing
The animals come to stare in at us
they come by walking, they come by bus.
I'm just a monkey hanging in my tree
and you look kinda scarey looking in at me
I don't come to your house to look at you
so what are you all doing here at the zoo.
I'm just an elephant, watch out for my feet
I might crush you, oh golly gee
You need to be home the whole lot of you
so what are you all doing here at the zoo.
I'm just a lion, laying here all alone
wondering why you animals have no home
sometimes there's many, sometimes there's few
so what are you all doing here at the zoo.
