Huckleberry Thought Best

Tom Sayer sat all alone in the Inn

wondering where his Becky Thatcher had been

It was so hard to catch her,

that illusive Becky Thatcher

for she ran away with Huckleberry Finn.

It's not fun being a friend of Finn

Finn thought it fun to have a friend

The friend thought Finn was gonna run

yet Finn said that his running was done

then he ran off with Becky again.

Huckleberry Finn about lost his friend

who sat alone at home in the Inn

Huck asked Tom, please try to forgive me

Tom said, never ever you see

If you run with Becky, it'll be your end

Tom and Becky got married hand in hand

and Huck became Tom's best man

When so said the town preacher

I hope this will teach her

Becky said, I don't understand.

Huckleberry Finn sat all alone in the end

wondering if what is could have been

It was so hard to release her,

he confessed to the preacher

he didn't want to lose his best friend.

The preacher said Huck, it is for the best

and Huck said maybe, I think I'll head west

It took a while for him to realize

that Becky could never civilize

his sad sack soul in a mess.
