Every night when I go to bed

you're the first thing

that drifts into my head

I close my eyes and there you are

like a light house from afar

Tossing and turning

like a ship on the sea

You might get me out of you

but I can't get you out of me.

I'm chained to the deck

and roped to the mast

Lightening struck the crows nest

how long can this storm last

Tossing and turning

like a ship on the sea

You might get me out of you

but I can't get you out of me.

My soul is tied up to yours

and you're looking for a knife

Will this ship ever reach the shores

before you take my life

Tossing and turning

like a ship on the sea

You might get me out of you

but I can't get you out of me.

Every night when I go to bed

you're the first thing

that drifts into my head

I close my eyes and there you are

like a light house from afar

Tossing and turning

like a ship on the sea

You might get me out of you.

but I can't get you out of me.
