The tears that I cry

won't bring back the years if I try

as hard as I possibly can

will you ever understand

for this much is true

that I still love you

and I always will.

I ask my self why

I had to leave you and I sigh

I wasn't much of a man

No I'll never understand

for this much is true

that I still love you

and I always will

I should have nabbed you

and I should have grabbed you

when they told me it was the end of the show

I should have wrote you a letter

I should have known better

and I should have taken you from the word go.

Now that I'm a little older

it doesn't mean that I'm bolder

You slipped right through my hand

No you don't understand

for this much is true

But I still love you

and I always will.

When on my death bed

I'll call you with my last breath

to the last beat of the band

I hope you understand

for this much is true

that I'll still love you

and I always will.

I should have nabbed you

and I should have grabbed you

when they told me it was the end of the show

I should have wrote you a letter

I should have known better

and I should have taken you from the word go.
