Just A Bleeding Trumpet Vine

Now

You've been cut by your Rose's thorns,

because of another fragrance.

She smelled your Honey Suckle torn,

from someone else's fence.

Then

You found your love was Bitter Sweet,

while entangled in her vine.

When you finally managed to get free,

it was just a matter of time.

Later

You're just a bleeding Trumpet Vine,

hanging there in dread.

Your Rose was briar patch entwined,

where others dare to tread.

When

Honey Suckle lured you straight on in,

you couldn't resist there in the night.

It's so hard to break free from sin,

when she's wrapped around you tight.

Then

You found your love was Bitter Sweet,

while entangled in her vine.

When you finally managed to get free,

it was only a matter of time.

Later

You're just a bleeding Trumpet Vine,

hanging there in dread.

Your Honey Suckle was entwined,

where another dared to tread.

Now

You've been cut by your Rose's thorns,

because of another fragrance.

She smelled your Honey Suckle torn,

from someone else's fence.
