I wish that I could go back in time,
to that place my dreams show me.
To those day's tucked away in my mind,
separated from you by the great sea.
I can only be with you in the night,
for each day we drift further apart.
Though I try with all of my might,
I'm unable to row back to your heart.
On an island somewhere in the past,
we are separated and it's hard to see.
Both of us feeling the ocean's wrath,
as we're tossed back by the waves of reality.
Then in my bed and all worn out,
the dream weavers come and show me;
what our lives could have been all about,
if we hadn't of got lost on that stormy sea.
Do you wish that you could go back in time,
to that place my dreams show me.
Are those days locked away in your mind,
as you sail on the great sea.
Do I come quickly to you in the night,
for each day we are further apart.
Am I the reason you scream in fright,
for I took the soul from your heart.
On an island somewhere in the past,
we are separated and it's hard to see.
Both of us feeling the ocean's wrath,
as we're tossed back by the waves of reality.
Then in my bed and all worn out,
the dream weavers come and show me;
what our lives could have been all about,
if we hadn't of got lost on that stormy sea.
