Love is

two hands

holding on to one another

and never letting go

Love is

eyes

looking deep inside each others

having found their gold

Love is

a body

lying next to the one

warm through the cold

Love is

two hearts

never straying and staying together

even when they're old

Love is saying that your very sorry

while down there on your knees

crying tears through those eyes that were starry

as your asking and begging them please

Love is telling them I forgive you

while helping them to their feet

holding hands and proving your love is true

feeling again their heart as it beats

Love is knowing that they're your treasure

worth more than silver or gold

and you'll go through life and never measure

all those apologies from days of old

Love is

two hands

holding on to one another

and never letting go

Love is

eyes

looking deep inside each others

having found their gold

Love is

a body

lying next to the one

warm through the cold

Love is

two hearts

never straying and staying together

even when they're old
